How The Site Works
Is this site safe? I don't see the little lock in the bottom of my
browser.
Yes, this site is safe. You can think of it like a catalog you got in the
mail. You leaf through it, build up a list of everything you want, and
when you are ready to pay, you go directly to Amazon.com to do so.
When you arrive at Amazon.com, you'll see the lock icon in your browser,
and will be on their secure server. Then, and only then, will you be asked
for details such as your address, and credit card number.
(And if you're already an Amazon customer, you'll be able to log in to your
account and use your stored information, as usual.)
So if we buy from Amazon, what do you get out of it?
We're a member of Amazon's "Associate" program. We get paid a commission
on each product you place in your cart here and then buy from Amazon.
You can read more about Amazon's associate program and its payouts (and
join yourself, if you'd like) here.
And you give all the money you receive to animal charities?
Every last cent, and then some. See the About This
Site page for more about that.
What if I have other questions about how the site works?
Feel free to use our contact form to ask
anything you'd like.
